Injury Alert: Mo Salah a major doubt for Huddersfield clash

Mohamed Salah doubts for Liverpool clash with Huddersfield after suffering apparent muscle injury on international duty with Egypt.

The 26-year-old PFA player of the year was taken off in stoppage time of Egypt's 4-1 win over Swaziland on Friday night, having gone down to the turf minutes earlier with what appeared to be a muscle strain on his left leg.

Four players were on the scoresheet for Egypt, but Salah's goal stole the weekend headlines after scoring directly from a corner in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Egypt's assistant coach Hany Ramzy feels Sarah's injury is a minor one, telling BeIn Sports: "The initial diagnosis of the Egypt national team medical staff is that Salah suffered a muscular injury, he will be examined to determine the details, but in my opinion, it is not dangerous."

Salah has netted on three occasions in eleven appearances so far this term.
